LuzRD Terms of Service

By accessing or using LuzRD (web or app), you confirm you can legally accept these Terms and that you have also read our Privacy Policy.

LuzRD is a community tool for outage information, republished official notices, and neighborhood chat in the Dominican Republic.

LuzRD is not EdeEste, EdeSur, EdeNorte, or any official power utility. We do not supply electricity and we do not guarantee that neighbor reports are always accurate.

• The map and reports rely on community input and service telemetry.
• On Notices we may republish public EDEEste communications (maintenance and outages).
• The official Google Play app is part of the same service.

Some features (such as community chat) require Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account.

• Use a username that does not impersonate others or infringe rights.
• Do not share your session or access someone else’s account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

If you post in chat, you are solely responsible for that content. By posting you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, store, and moderate the message inside LuzRD.

• No insults, hate, harassment, threats, spam, scams, or sexual content.
• Do not post other people’s personal data without permission.
• Do not use chat for unsolicited ads or to impersonate LuzRD, moderators, or utilities.
• We may delete messages and mute, suspend, or ban accounts automatically or by human moderation.

You agree not to:

• Abuse the service (bots, aggressive scraping, attacks, overload).
• Attempt to bypass security, authentication, or moderation.
• Use LuzRD for illegal activity.
• Deliberately and repeatedly fake outage reports to mislead others.

The LuzRD brand, site/app design, software, and LuzRD materials are protected. You may use the service for legitimate personal and community purposes; you may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit the product without permission.

We aim to keep LuzRD available, but we may change, interrupt, or discontinue features (map, chat, notices, notifications) with or without prior notice when needed for maintenance, security, or product evolution.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by law:

• We do not guarantee outage information is complete, accurate, or real-time.
• We do not guarantee the service is free of errors or interruptions.
• Decisions you make based on LuzRD are at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LuzRD and its operators are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, lost profits, data loss, or damages arising from use or inability to use the service, nor for incorrect information from community reports or third parties.

We may suspend or terminate access (including chat) if you breach these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or community rules. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

LuzRD may link to Google Play, Google Sign-In, Mapbox, WhatsApp, EDEEste pages, or other sites. We do not control those services; their use is governed by their own terms.

If we change these Terms in a material way, we will update the “Last updated” date at https://luzrd.com/terminos. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated version.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to non-waivable consumer rights you may have.
